My tekna auto is getting 31 mpg around town and 27 mpg when towing.
Mines on a unlimited milage lease, it's about ÂŁ275 a month and being a commercial vehicle it's excellent on the tax claimability.
As mowerman said if your worried about fuel costs you shouldn't be looking at a pick up.
Ive had mine nearly a year now family love it, even my wife keeps wanting to drive it

If you are worried about fuel consumption, at 1.50 per litre and probably 2 quid by 2012 we should all be worried, you should be thinking about a small engine.

Nearly all pickups are around 30 mpg (less for auto), something like a freelander is closer to 40mpg, the horrible fiat doblo will give you nearly 60mpg.

Thanks for the info. My dealer is now telling me there is going to be a shortage of new vehicles because of the problems facing Japan at present. So I might not be able to order one anyway!
well UK ones are made in Spain, so not sure about that...
