D40 LSD Diff Oil

Want to change the back axle oil in my 2008 D40 Auto with LSD diff.
Went to TWG Nissan in Northwich last night and was quoted £74 PLUS vat for 4 litres cos they wont sell just 2 litres per handbookbook capacity.

NISSAN ARE TAKING THE P*SS ON AN INDUSTRIAL SCALE!!!!!!!!!!

Could somebody please recomend a suitable alternative?

You need the oil spec I guess it'll be EP..........? then cross reference it with any of the manufacturers.

This is getting bloody ridiculous!!!!! :evil:

Last night, TWG said £74 for LSD oil.
This morning West Way Stockport say £13 per litre "but but it doesn't actually say LSD compatable on the botttle, but our services guys say its what they put in ALL Navaras"....... :shock:

........and Nissan UK customer services (who I should have know would be bleedin' hopeless cos my missus used to work in an outsourced customer services dept) say they dont know and CANT pass me on to Nissan UK propper and just gave another couple of dealership numbers to try!!!!!!

If ANYBODY has a can of GENUINE Nissan back axle LSD oil in thier possesion, could I please have the part number off it ?
The last thing I need (or can afford) is a wrecked LSD diff !

Comma oils do a LSD specific oil, which the dealers sell over the counter round here at a 'hiked' price!
Most factors sell it and comes in 1ltr bottles.
DO NOT use any so called 'modifier' to convert hypoid oil into LSD oil!! they are cr@p.

Nice one Alex. Just spoke to Dave, well helpfull chap. Recons they dont use genuine Nissan LSD oil cos Nissan dont supply a part number so they cant get it! They use Comma LSD fluid from a local factor and have got some in so if I cant find it local, it looks like a blast up the M6 is on the cards!

Sorted............at last!

C.E.S Ltd in Northwich stock Comma oils and have...........
EP80W-90 GL-5 (Front Axle)
LS80W-90 GL-5 (Rear L.S.D
and also Comma DPF compatable engine oil.

Right on my doorstep, going tonight. :mrgreen:

Good result, but why on gods green do Nissan make things like this such a hassle.
