Does any one know why there isn't a recall on pathfinders as I thought the wheels were the same. I rang 2 local dealers and they both said no when I asked why they they just said because there isn't. I felt like a kid. Is it because they were made in different factories or somthing??

It's not the gross weight apparently, it's the stress of having a fully loaded bed, on the spokes if cornering hard or offroad duties. ( from a friend who works at Nissan )

The gross weight is the total weight of the vehicle+any load. so having a fully loaded bed i.e. a high gross weight equalls more stress on the wheels under cornering.
The gorss weight of the pathy is lower even though the unlaiden weight is much the same it cant carry as much load so there is less stress on the wheels

i run a d40 and the wife has a pathfinder. im a mechanic and just cant see how one set of wheels can be designated 'possible to fail' and another set on the pathfinder 'not'. both sets identical yet 2 different stories. if its down to batch defect then maybe but load stress? my missus dont hang about plus carting around 4 kids up and down rough old country lanes while i just mince around in the d40, taking it steady. maybe give my new wheels to the wife and use her old scabbers on the d40?

gonna phone them and say "well i swapped my wheels for my brothers navara wheels as his looked in better condition " think that will work ?

it is a possibility and some people could have bought there wheels from say ebay and stuck them on there pathy then what ?

I can't believe what a pantomime this wheel recall seems to have caused, if your vehicle is in the recall range you will be notified, if you're worried about it and haven't been notified contact your dealer or Nissan U.K. it really is that simple.

If you're thinking of pulling a fast one, it isn't in your best interest to splash it all over this site, as i keep saying, Nissan and the dealers view this site on a regular basis
