Hi folks,

Got my new tyres fitted today. As some of you may know i was undecided on which AT tyre to go for.

I eventually decided to go for the tried and tested BF Goodrich AT KO in 31x10.50 R15.

I got the set of 4 fitted for £456 all in, which was the best price i could find and so far i am very pleased with them!

So pleased infact i even gave the old girl a wash

Anyway heres a few pics for you all. The side steps are currently sitting in the garage whilst i fabricate some new brackets to replace the rotten ones

All comments welcome :thumbleft:

Looks good and seems a great price.....well done!
Thanks mate!

Price was the same as ordering online from Camskill.co.uk (cheapest online) by the time you have added postage, but would have still had to have paid to get them fitted/balanced so i think i got a bargain.

Crackin price :thumbright: They look great.

The truck looks good with no steps 8)
Strange you should say that mate!

It does look higher without them, but not as chunky as it did.

I was undecided when i took them off, but after seeing how much mud the new tyres throw up the sides i think i will bolt them back on

Very nice mate, as above, sounds a good price too. I still can't decide on the white lettering (if i where in the market for some) ????

landmannnn thats music to my ears

As for the white lettering Tucker, if you dont like it you can fit the tyres the opposite way and the lettering is black :thumbleft:

I personally like the white lettering on a larger and/or chunkier looking 4x4 tyre. Just think it sets them off :partycheer:

White lettering or not? - Could turn into a thread of its own

Good choice on the tyres. Look great on the truck. Can't decide if I'd leave the steps off, or not. Does look tall without them.

My BFGs are white side out. If you have them, flaunt them. :)

Just be aware the hard compound has less grip
I think we had this debate before landmannn, but I find the grip on the BFGs super. They are hands down better than the Bridgestone Duellers that came on my old truck. I wasn't sure if they had as good a grip as the Goodyear wranglers that I just took off the new truck, but yesterday a pheasant flew across my path, and the only thing that stopped me using my face to blow the horn was the seatbelt. And that was on shiney tarmac back road with a lot of surface water. It renewed my faith in the tyre. Although, I do feel that the brakes behave slightly differently with the BFGs under it. It's almost as it there is a split second before the tyres grip, and then they stick like glue. I noticed a week ago when a hare ran in front of me (I drive in the countryside a lot :) ) that when I jabbed the brake pedal, there was a split second of tyre screech. I know that sounds like the ABS is stopping the truck from skidding, but as I said, when they grip, they really grip.

You slammed on the brakes to avoid a hare risking losing control of your navara and smashing it up, thats crazy. I usually swerve to hit the little buggers, but thats just the canadian ******* in me :partycheer:

tadhgocuilleain - thanks for re-confirming (is that a word  ) how good the BF Goodrich are! Thanks also for your previous reviews on the tyres. I read through most of them and they did influence my decision towards getting them :thumbleft: As for the steps, i am currently fabricating new brackets for them (During works time not mine  ), and will try them out and see what they are like with the AT's :thumbleft:

Doctorchopper - I like your style! If my truck was as big as yours i would be running over more than fluffy animals

... and as for you spoon, i am slightly worried about you mate   :thumbright:
