Put my truck in for it's 20k service and got the ol' fries with that...

( Minus the power module of course... I really noticed the diference without it.. :( )

Would you like the injector clean? it celans out the bacterial ****
Does this need to be done?
If so how often?
it was only $88 so i said yes.

ripped off !

sure you can get the special anti fungal if you have it growing in the tank. however most good diesel additives come with it. simply use a bit every so many tanks and your good as gold.
the special expencive ant-fungal is for when you have a bad case of it (usually if diesels been sitting for a long time).

i think the stuff i use is ~$10euro and treats 1000 litres (i think, will have to check).

Ah thanks guys! I wont bother next time...

better have fixed the under body sealant hanging off!!!!

DAVE:

is your 125 litre tank made by ARB? How much are they over there, and can the replacement of the existing one be considered a DIY job? Does the fuel gauge work OK (presume you just swap it around???) We have very limited technical info on this available over here.. I guess not many people buy those tanks as in Europe there are fuel stations on every step. Not quite like in the Outback!

Sorry just seen your post.

I got mine through TJM, ARB do the same thing. It cost $850 Aus dollars.

I think the tank cost another $100 to get it installed.

The fuel gauge aint that accurate, I just go off the km's on the trip computer.

I get about 1000-1100km's before the fuel light comes on.

You could install it yourself, just easier on a hoist.

Good luck.

What I meant was: does the fuel gauge in the dashboard maintain its functionality or do you require a separate gauge for the new tank?

There is also a S.African company that does a supplementary tank that fits above the spare wheel and is connected to the original tank (somehow) and this gives a total of about 140 litres if I remember correctly. They also provide a longer stud to enable the spare wheel to sit lower. I was quoted about 300 quid for this.
