The D22 figures are even more unrealistic!!

Mine is properly remapped, I've done ALOT on injection timing, and fuelling, and it's circa 170bhp. This is running 21psi of boost. The D22 had no electronic boost control, so NONE of these boxes can increase boost pressure; so they are fixed at 14psi.
I reckon you'd see 10bhp realistically from one of these boxes on a D22.

As for D40, done one last week and that's at 220bhp, and still relatively conservative.
But as per D22, being a remap I have access to ALL parameters, these tuning boxes don't, so I'm not quite sure how they can get away with advertising such inflated figures.

b*****ks to those figures is all I can say!!!

Buy one, bring it to my dyno...if it makes those figures I'll give you the money for it and chuck you some diesel money for your troubles!!

I'll mail them and ask how they get that figure, I only got 201bhp on one of my mapped navs
Yup that's a nice safe figure from a moderate remap.

TBH mine has a lot more than just 10 extra HP, I drove a mates 06 d40 along country roads then my own and in fifth gear it compared favourably with the d40.
On more than one occasion I have followed or led d40s and have not been yet been left behind or overtaken, but have never been over 85 mph in these situations .
I am fully aware that over that speed a d22 will not look near a d40 as it has not the legs to keep up.

If there's no smoke, then it's not reaching max Injection quantity of fuel, which without going into it's not possible to produce the claimed power/torque figures....and we haven't even touched on boost pressure!

10bhp is an off the cuff figure, but in reality it won't be much more, and is definitely more realistic than the ones claimed by the tuning box manufacturer!

The figures do sound overstated.

I have the PDI, CRD and pedal box together with a K&N filter and it has made a diference. I still playing about with different settings and cant make my mind up as to whats the best setup as I not getting enough time to use the truck lately. Had a good very fast setup a while back but I needed a tanked to follow me with the amount of fuel it was using so had to alter the settings a bit. I trying to get a balance between power/speed and economy.

Once I get the setup correct I not sure what the next stage is without costing too much

Not the most convincing answer;
Thanks for your email. All our figures are based on customer feedback, we offer a full 14 day money back guarantee if you are not 100% happy with the system. We often see a 10mph increase and state this for your guidance to the fact that this system will increase your vehicles performance.

We have these systems in stock and can ship on the 3rd January.

thanks,
Graeme

Well to be fair not eating your dinner could theoretically increase performance in your car due to a change in power to weight ratio. It doesn't mean that you'd actually see the difference.

So basically, they've made up those figures......
