crappy steering wheel paint, warranty?

I know ive seen it before on here but does anyone know where to get the steering wheel trims on the cheap? Dont really want to spray em as i wanna see the writing.
Its an 08 LWD and the paint is shabby as fook! How long do nissan give ya on warranty for these sort of problems?

I doubt it's a warranty job. They'll probably say wear and tear. Search button will give you more info.

cheers for replying mate, tried searching but my eyes feel like theyre bleeding and i still havent found any where to get new ones. (trims not eyes)

We had them replaced on our Pathfinder under the standard warranty without issue.....

They will replace the steering wheel switch covers under normal warranty, i had mine done, but if it's out of warranty they probably won't play ball

Yeah the warranty runs out December, not that it matters it goes next week as I've bought a new one.

i dunno if mine is still under warranty. Only got it last year as my last nav was robbed. Its 2008, less than 40k on the clock, anyone know how long the standard warranty is?

You've obviously stolen my steering wheel (08 LWD) and have the same fault, I'm contemplating rubbing it all off and having the shiny black plastic from underneath showing.

I popped to my local nissan stealer and they quoted me £200 to replace. Its a job for someone who knows what they are doing apparently as there is the airbag cable that has to be very carefully disconnected, or the airbag will go off :bom: :bom:

Bummer my steering wheel paint is flaking badly and was planning a trip to my local stealer but I've just received my V5 and it was first registered in Feb 09. Argggh.
Has anyone tried stripping and re-painting?
