re setting service indicator

I wondered if anyone can help.
I had my V6 serviced the other day. due to the garage having a cancalation, they took car in early. As it was still more than 500 miles shown to go on service indicator (530 to be precise), they could not re set the indicator after they completed the service. It is now on Zero and continuosly flashing.
I dont really want to have to go back to garage to get it re set....can I do it ???

I posted how to do it for the 4 pot engine the other day, let me find it and you can try it and see if it works!

Nope....cant get it to work
But then...technology isnt my best subject..
The spanner and zero mileage to service light are constantly flashing. When i turn ignition on, press right hand button, all this does is change the brightness on dash.
i have gone into the Maintanance feild on the Connect on the center dash, and that is set correctly...
looks like another trip to garage :-(

Maybe on the V6's that its a plugin reader reset
