Hi Guys,
My 07 nav playing up, when I try to accelerate she has no power and feels like its being starved of fuel? But get to 50-60 mph put my foot down and 90 is no probs. It is worse when trying to pull away and really dies no faults codes or warning lights??? any ideas.

Hi Guys me again,
Just been out and had a look at a couple of the usual suspects, cleaned the air intake sensor checked the air filter all looks good drove it for about 10 miles to warm her up, then tried to rev her a bit and she went into limp mode?? Turn off then started again,ok then tries to rev her again and same thing happened. I now have the orange MI light staying on so at least I have some indication of fault.
But does anyone have any experiance of this type of trouble, And a good place to start the looking from.
Slurpy. :?

get the fault code read with a diagnostics machine. come back and we will start from there.

As above, lots it could be...
however, you said you'd cleaned the air intake sensor.. i presume you mean the mass airflow sensor (MAF)
What did u clean it with, did u touch any of the small wires, did u allow it to dry correctly before re fitting?
always in a situation like this, are u upto date with the fuel filter change, do u have an egr blank?
did u fit the air filter lid back correctly?

Loads of info required :)

Morning biggi,
Yeah I cleaned with contact cleaner, it had a wee bit of soot looking stuff on it, let it dry in the sun for a few mins then reinstalled it.I will try to get it to somewhere to get a diagnostic analysis today and get back to yous guys.
Thanks for the advise , I haven't had the fuel filter looked at thou???

If ya dont know when it wer last done, Change the fuel filter b4 paying someone to plug it in...
I cant stress enough.... Keeping oils, filters, etc changed at regular Intetvals will keep a happier truck, hopefully save ya money in the longrun and no stress of pointless breakdowns.

Biggi,
Carried out a reset on the new ob1canoby to reset the fault code or so I thought.
Just tested the nav and its like S :censored: T off a shovel.
Now could that just be a one off thing or is it likely to need some parts/works to rectify.
Surely thinking like a layman if sommit is broke its broke right??
Any advise marra.

Seems to happen very rare on cars, but wagon electrics and sensors are way over keen.
Generally unless it's something severe, a minor fault will have to show itself a few times before putting the "oh F :censored: k light on. If its an intermittent fault it will stay live in the memory. Best way is as you've done, read the code, clear it, run it as normal, re scan! :D
I'm guessing you've prob had some **** in the lines, filter change maybe helped.. Ya must remember servicing pal, it's there 4 a reason. If I were you I'd run a fuel system cleaner through it now, I recommend BG244,it's amazing stuff. find it on fleabay cheapest, ÂŁ20 delivered !
Keep tabs on it, don't be surprised or disheartened if it throws the same code again, everything is fixable lol.
Cheers :cheers2:

Thats why i said that, didnt wanna dishearten ya but i expected it.
I'm sure people on here have said sometimes its the full monty, I've only seen 2 different vehicles and they both as well as my own had a removable sensor. I'm new to the Navara so I listen to these guys, I'm an ex mechanic/ garage owner but some of these guys on here would put me to shame.
Please do check the code out (google lol) before buying a sensor, I'm pretty certain it's that but wouldn't wanna stick my neck on the line if ya know what I mean.

Been reading thru some stuff from Andy an administrator and I think looking thru a couple of the links that it's the fuel capacity reg on the back of the pump, the prognosis I have and how it's explained I'm sure that's it's. Especially one of the comment in the follow on replies about the engine hunting when on idle as mine did this when you opened a window or the ac cut in and it felt lumpy sitting in traffic.
