Hi Rich, yeah thats gotta be a very good reason to go for them over steel - i guess they are still plenty strong enough!

How have you found yours then - does it change handling much? and can you notice the extra 30mm aesthetically?

cheers

Not a big fan of wheel spaces they put a huge strain on wheel bearings as they move the centre of pressure of the wheel off the centre of centre of the wheel bearings
I thought that the correct spacers, with the lip in the middle eliminated the strain caused by many generic universal spacers?

Huncentric means it seats correctly (the lip you menton) so you dont get any wheel wobble which causes stress, but people still say you get increased strain on the bearing due to the fact the centre of mass is now further away from the axel. Force = mass x distance from centre of pivot.

I say, pah.

I've never had any trouble with spacers or big negative offsets.

That's what I thought its no different to fitting oversized tyres or wider wheels surely? I'm all for spacers :) I have 30mm on mine :thumbleft:
Oversized tyres extend both sides of the wheel so the centre is still where it should be the same witch wider wheels (providing there the same offset)

Just fitted 30mm aluminium spacers today, makes a big difference to the stance of the truck - looks really good and purposeful!

Not looking forward to taking the wheels off though as the turned boss on the spacer was a tight fit within the wheel, had to use the wheel nuts to pull it on fully, I did use plenty of copper slip in between, so fingers crossed!
