Cruise control not working

Brake pedal or clutch pedal switch is the usual, but if it's sorted by holding the gear lever, I presume your theory of neutral switch will be correct.

how do i go about fixing the brake and clutch pedal sensors? my cruise control only works if i lift up the pedals with my feet whilst pressing the set button ans it goes of after going over a bump.

They screw to a bracket at the return side of the pedal box.
Just the same as the brake light switch. Slacken lock nut and adjust them as necessary. You will prob here the micro switch clicking over. Very simple 2 min job
