We need a new thread, what have you done to your Swedish lemon Volvo FH...
Had the injector seals done by stealer 10 months ago, they were upgraded seals from the failing 5 yr old seals fitted when it was new.
Taken it back tonight.... To have the new designed injector seals that replaced the old injector seals replaced by another set of yet again upgraded injector seals.... Arghhhh, come on Volvo!
Common rail ****?
Yup :-(
Common rail ****.

Re: What have you done to your TRUCK today ?

I've had my first big trip our since buying the navara only over to derby (70miles) for my wife's first triathlon since having our first baby 6 months ago ,she set a pp so reckons another sprog will make her go even faster ! I'm of to he garage in a mo to crush my nuts in a vice , one sprog is plenty ! Driving sensibly with the baby on board sign hanging in the back got a 30.5mpg on the trip , gutted I've turned into an old fart and driving like Miss Daisy every where , determined with more practice I'll soon get it down to 25 !

Re: What have you done to your TRUCK today ?

Today I applied some Carbon Fibre textured vinyl to my 09' Aventura steering wheel... As with most Navara steering wheels I have seen, the soft paint had rubbed away in areas and looked cr*p so I removed the rest leaving just shiney black plastic. Didn't like that too much so went for the Carboin Fibre wrap/vinyl.

Re: What have you done to your TRUCK today ?

I used thinners on a cloth to soften the paint and then scrapped the residue off with a plastic scrapper. Cleaned throughly with more thinners on a clean cloth until left with shiney black plastic.

I ordered the Carbon Fibre textured vinyl online from flebay! Can't recall the seller.... The sheet was about 18" x 18". Cut two nine inch squares out of the sheet. Cleaned the area again with thinners to remove any grease. Peeled the backing off the vinyl and covered the area required, cutting the apertures for the audio controsl etc with sharp craft knife. Push the vinyl into place with fingers, working any air bubbles out with plastic scraper, using the same tool to feed the vinyl round, into and under the plastic trim. All in all it took about 30 min's each side. If I do it again. I'll take photos.

I think it looks much better than the painted version and the shiney black plastic.
