7mths and a completely burned out clutch!

Seems to have trouble 'exiting' low range 4WD - have to reverse to 'jiggle' out. Normal???? :?

Most vehicles will come out of 4wd quicker if reversed, :thumbleft: I believe I’ am correct in saying this is because the load put on gears in 4wd is quite high and reversing releases the load on the said gears allowing it to disengage quicker. :thumbright:
So much so I teach this on our cross country area. :study: (Don’t get me wrong I am not saying this is the only way, as most of our newer vehicles drop straight out) but reversing certainly works.

I must admit that on the Patrol I used to own from new which had the mechanical lever for the high range gearbox it was easier to get it out doing a little jiggle backwards...On my d40 it doesn't seem necessary, but it is nowhere near as smooth as the Murano is.....
