If the price is right it looks like I'll be getting (as a company vehicle....by choice) the Navara Platinum 2.5 dCi with either the Super Sport Hard Top or XTC Hard Top (not decided on that yet)....plus the A-bar on the front...thought I'd nip on and say hi.....

Hello and welcome mate

Hi Tucker (and all that said hello) - I'm an ICT Manager/3rd & 4th line support Senior Tech....and normally an Audi A4, possibly A6; would have been the choice...but there is no way the tax man is getting hold of any more of my money that easily!! I was given the choice of what I wanted and Navara came out on top for me!

I've concluded that you get to this age (43) and either get a sporty little number to show off to the younger ladies (or gents if that's your bag)...or...if you're like me (happily in love with your soul mate for life).....choose a pickup :) I chose the Nissan Navara Platinum 2.5dCi....and got it.....arrived just over a week ago........Nissan Toomey (Basildon) dropped it off at my office at 6.30pm (see the evening shots)

Few niggles, nothing major......

Entertainment system - Clarion....not grabbed by this system I have to say.

The demo wagon I had was the Tekna which had the Nissan navigation, voice recognition and entertainment system; which I felt was far superior from a user perspective.

Ok...so with the Clarion there's a lot more bolt ons available (digital TV receiver, DAB Radio etc etc), but I do not find it as user friendly - no doubt I will get used to it.

Had the iPod video cable installed so I could watch movies from the iPhone when waiting outside Silverstone camp site this year (getting there 24hrs before they open paid off last year)....but....got sound and no video....Nissan and Clarion can't work out why!

Second niggle, little bit more frustrating considering she's new and "pre-inspected".....headlamp washers not working and screen wash bottle/pipework is faulty (fill it up, use it twice......water/fluid empties itself on the floor right before your eyes)...........Nissan are picking it up tomorrow to fix.

Other than the two bits above.......love the ride, she's comfortable and feels good. Bit of off-road planned in the not too distant future....pics will of course follow....

Nice truck mate, i know you're probably not used to this sort of vehicle, but they are very handy with endless uses.

Sorry to hear about the problems, they are an easy fix though as long as your dealer doesn't play around. I'm sure you'll love the truck, dealers a another story though

  when you said company vehicle, I was expecting your job to be something more, ahh, rural  Good to see the Nav suits all sorts of uses. Great looking truck, not good to hear of issues, but I think all sorts of machines have problems, we've just bought a new JCB ......... The cab heating/aircon fan doesn't work and the fuel tank is loose/wobbly ..... Like you said, PDI anyone
