See I can't event spell thick...... :****

I can't get the bloody connections off the back of the front light bulbs, can get my hand in there ok and I have tried to use two fingers (leave it) to try and remove the connection, both trying at the sides and the top and neither see will budge. I am sure there is an easy way to get them off but for the life of me I can't move, all it does is pull on the bulb but they won't shift.......

I have tried everything and they won't move......will try and bit of wd40 though as might work

I replaced both of mine on Friday and it took a lot longer than usual and I too used 2 fingers!! I think with the cold weather, it just took an unusual amount of time to release the plugs.

They do tend to stick a little, perhaps due to oxidation of the terminals.
In extreme cases its easier to unclip the bulb from the lamp and pull the bulb out with the connector still attached, then you can get a better hold of the bulb and the connector.

That's a good point, but compared to the last time I replaced mine, it did take a lot longer.

x2 was gonna suggest this also Neil, worked this way round for me. :thumbright:

I know I struggled with mine a while ago. More difficult than you would think. :slaphead

Don't really know what I did anymore, just fiddled with it long enough I guess.

That's guys. I did what Jay and Bob said and removed the whole thing, didn't take long and all done. Not easy to get to though but at least I never had to remove the battery or air filter which I thought I might have too as not a lot of room in there for my big fat hands...

i had trouble with this on my d22 a few weeks ago. i found it quicker to take the head light out.
when u spend ÂŁ20 on bulbs. the last thing u want is to break them.

these are tight little buggers, ours had almost welded themself to the bulb, i managed to get one off with some wd40 the other...... i let my garage do at the mot lol, but he said they had to remove the light in the end to get enough room (D40 passenger side) aparently it was the rubber boot fitted incorrectly had let all the ****/water in over the last few years

Glad you got them out Neil, they are buggers when not changed in a while. Takes forever in the fear of sheareing the bulb root off.
I now keep all mine Dw40'd once a month to make sure alls easily accessible when it come's to change. :thumbright:
