This should be basic troubleshooting, but you'll have to be patient.

How long was the Navara left unused with a flat battery?

When jump leads were attached did the engine spin over on the starter?

Fit a new battery. You will have air and possibly water in your fuel system and stuff like brakes and clutch could be seized.

Give it a FULL service, make sure everything has not seized up. As LT says remove and clean up all engine earths. Put something like this in the fuel
.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coval-Aquasolve ... B00AKA7BIY

Once you have done the service, (including fuel filter) take some time to bleed the fuel through the system before trying to start.

Good luck, and if you get time whilst doing all the above pop into the 'Introduce yourself' section, that will encourage more forumers to get onboard.

Personally I would rule out all possible causes following the long layoff, these engines are well known as being complete ba****ds to start when the fuel supply system has been interferred with e.g. new filters, pipes etc. You may have this because of the layoff.
I loosen the supply connection on the injector pump and then use the pump button on the filter housing, once I am sure bubble free fuel is coming from the connection, only then tighten it.
Then loosen an injector connection to make sure fuel is reaching the injectors, if not it may well be the immobiliser code having dropped out, this is a main dealer or very well equiped independent garage only job, to re-code them.

If the ******* has lost the codes it will not even turn over and the nats light stays on , afaicr.
It was mine that dropped the code when changing the battery once, the *******.
The problem with this one is fuel related probably, hopefully the pump is ok. Slacken an injector pipe or two and see if any fuel is getting to the injectors.

Where abouts in Hertfordshire are you. Have a very good mechanic where I am in the north eastern part of the County. He runs a D22, sorts all the problems on my D40 and all the locals Landys and Lpoos.
