Hi guys and girls,

Just signed up as I intend to join the Navara club 8)
Haven't bought yet as I'm still looking in to which year/engine would be best etc.
Will definitely be an auto, want all the bells and whistles too so I'm guessing Aventura?
Thinking 2007/2008 to avoid the clutch issue.

Only 4x4 I've had is a Subaru Impreza lol so completely new to the scene, no idea what "winding up the transmission" actually means with these Nav's but its a small concern.

Just had the chain tensioner go on my BMW and I have seen a few posts about this same issue with the Nav's, is it something I can look in to without the upgrade expense from billcar? Ie replacement tensioner/rails etc?

Thanks for reading and hope to be driving one of these beauties soon!

Rob.

Hi and welcome, if you're buying an auto you don't have to worry about the clutch.

If you want good fuel economy get a Euro 3 2005-Sept 06 after that it's Euro 4 which are more thirsty, so if budget permits a later Euro 4 190 would be a good bet

Hi guys and thanks, fuel consumption not a massive concern but would need to go in to LEZ (London low emission zone) so would I need the euro 4 or are these trucks exempt?

Best, R

Hello and welcome Rob. Autos are good but thirsty too. I have a LED 2008 and get a max of 22 to the gallon but lovely to drive.......

Not sure what is and isn't exempt in London as they will screw you one way or another.....

Pffft, typical
Yeah it's a bloody joke Martin, i'm in London a lot, and sometimes i'm behind old cars that chug out lots of nasty stuff, but because they're cars and not vans, buses or lorry's that's ok???

Then you get those big old ships coming down the Thames billowing all kinds of stuff into the air, but that's also alright???

Oh and if your vehicle doesn't meet the LEZ standards you have to pay a penalty, which makes it alright???

I bet they're rubbing their hands together!

Welcome On board Rob

I'm newish to this Forum and to Navaras and enjoying both experiences, lots of helpful and considerate comments from people in the know, so sit back and enjoy the ride...... Gotta rush, off to purchase my silicone lubricant.
