whats a heatshot system :study:

Its a small heater that goes between your waher pump and washer jets. A charge of screenwash is stored inside it and heated to 60 degrees. So when i hit my windscreen washer, i get hot screenwash for about 3 seconds. Wait 20 seconds for it to reheat and i can go again.

In the sunmer, its far more efficient at removing bugs ect. than cold screenwash.

In Winter, it deices the windscreen without scraping/deicer.

I'll be the first to admit i was never a perfectionist until i got my current job. I spend a large amount of time repairing/modifying/rebuilding very expensive recycling equipment, where downtime costs huge amounts of money, so everything has to be done perfect, absolutely no room for bodging , and i guess thats transferred over to lots of other areas of my work now. If i know its not to the best of my abilities, it will be getting redone.

Theres nothing better than saying to a mate "yer, I had to cut a load of panels to get the new tweeters in, and for them to reply "oh, i thought they were the factory ones"

measure twice cut once mentality spend the extra hour doing it right, or 6 hours sorting out the **** up
thats just how i work
keep thinking like that and you won't go far wrong in life

Looking good :salute:

But have to agree on grill... Not nice :faint

And a little confused about the tow bar/step mod, as why you had to cut the step  my whiter bar fits out past the step..

Here's my black grill, its not a chrome one painted, I brought a plain one off eBay for colour coding and sprayed it black..

Entirely for looks and nothing else. Nothing better than a big bulky hitch :D

Went for a drive and grabbed a snap.

The grill is starting to grow on me! Im not happy with the colour temperature of the bulbs in the fogs though, they're meant to be 4300k and if theres one thing they aren't, its 4300k.

They aren't the green they are in the photo, but they certainly do have a green tint to them, its just been amplified by the cameras processor

Mate I've just checked my tow bar and it sits clear of the step which would allow any type of hitch to be fitted, so still confused why yours doesn't clear..

Different makes of tow hitch bars can be made to slightly different measurements, mine clears easy. I do a lot of towing with heavy machines and I think the standard hight for the tow hitches are way to low, it makes the trailer nose dive to much. Going to need an adjustable hitch like yours.
Great work

When i orderd my towbar i was explicitely asked if i had a nav with the step-bumper or the tube-bumper. looking at the tube-bumpers (cheap workhorse modell of the nav) it looks like they protrude far less from the back than the step-type-bumper.
maybe over there you too get two types of nav-towbars and you might have the wrong one, hence the difference why one fits and the other doesn't?

Rich nice work, but would it not have been easier just to buy some zeberdes?

Yep, quite possibly. But i wanted something that was going to be fully secure, these dont slide over the bolt heads securing the track, each c channel fastening bolt has to be taken out to get them to slide up the track. So, if they work loose, the whole lot can only slide 6 inches between the bolt heads. I have a fear of it breaking loose, sliding across the bed, tearing the cables from the battery terminals and shorting everything out, which these will eliminate.

Probably OTT, but for 30 mins of machining and ÂŁ4 of ally bar its worth it for piece of mind.
