Had her Billcar'd  DTUK'd, EGR'd and thoroughly poked prodded and looked over - as well as fixing an oil leak :confetti

Thanks to Dave and Ed (and the team). Quality service from them and ran me into and out of Shrewsbury as part of their customer care - will def go back.

So the result of the above, noticeable improvement in acceleration (rather than feeling like your moving an effalump from a standing start - now feels like a ballerina  ) not scientific I know but 70 mile trip there computer she say 29.3mpg (no traffic 6am) 70 mile trip back (moderate traffic 3pm) 32.7mpg :partycheer:

Now she has to get us to Spain and back without any problems :nailbiting
Taking mine to Spain mid August, wave if you see me.

Re: What have you done to your TRUCK today ?

Finally got new Auxiliary sockets connected and working.

Twist lock splashproof sockets, power from ignition with switch on the dash. Usually with the rear work lights connected.

Twistlock and twin 2.1A USB. Fused supply straight from battery, with caravan charge relay in circuit so it won't kill the battery. Plan is that I can leave mobiles and stuff on charge, without having to leave stuff on show and key in ignition.

The Twistlock sockets are cigarette lighter plug compatible. Their dedicated plugs lock in and are splashproof when mated.

They work! Didn't realise when I started I would go as far as taking the drivers seat out to get an earth connection.

You did well to get the AT2s, they have been phased out in the UK and rel placed by the less aggressive looking AT :dunno
I agree with you but did not know that they've been phased out in the UK. Shame on General for taking them off your market.

Actually I wanted to fit some nice MT's, but unfortunately there were no such tires in 255/65R17 available here, only refurbished ones - but I did not want to go with them. So I went with the Grabber AT2's and couldn't be more satisfied. They do perform very well on- and offroad. The noise inside the cabin (e.g. on the Autobahn) remains absolutely acceptable and the profile on the tire edge helps while driving through muddy ditches.

Re: What have you done to your TRUCK today ?

I have the at2's on my truck with nearly 40,000 miles on. I have maybe 3-4mm of tread left.

I have to say they have taken me everywhere. I'm a trailer/agri mechanic by trade and the truck takes me everywhere including up a ploughed field last autumn once!

My mrs's freelander as the at's on. They look good on that, still have to give it some abuse to see what they're upto, but she's not got stuck with them and takes it upto a farm through all weathers every day!

Re: What have you done to your TRUCK today ?

Not done anything yet today but yesterday I changed the oil, oilfilter, air filter and the diesel filter and was too :censored: to come on here and write it down  much prefered to have a wee beer instead, oh and it only took about 6 primes and attempted starts for it to fire after I forgot to put diesel in the fuel filter :slaphead

Fitted the stainless steel roof bars. Went to pick one up off the lawn and couldn't hold it!

Put the horsebox on the back and took a Highland pony to a show. M&M champion and NPS silver medal winner.
