ROAD TAX? how much per year on a Pathfinder ?
Been arguing with my old man how muc is a years tax on a pathy ??

Depends on the reg, not sure when it changed but I'm sure 55 reg is £210 per year, my 56 reg is £405 or something like that.

£ 400 a year for the pathy falls in with your range rover & bmw x5 class of vehicle.

I decided I didn't give a f***, it's worth an extra £200 a year to drive a vehicle I've lusted after since its launch. And the first owner lost nearly £20k in depreciation - kind of puts it in perspective!

But on a serious note, we have just bought and sold a 57 plate pathfinder aventura in silver with 22000 miles on for £11000 ! kind of puts it in perspective considering the same guy who sold us the pathfinder sold a navara 57 plate aventura for £13000 ! he made more money of that navara than the Pathy because this Tax thing has been killing them !
sold the pathy to my uncle who gave us profit on £11000 ...hes gonna run it as it great value for money and hes just sold his 2005 patrol !

Yes, I found that the dealers wanted more money for a Navara than an equivalent PF, at least if you like me couldn't claw back the VAT and needed to put a top on the back. I reckon the saving on sticker price & nicer drive (my other half wasn't too keen on driving the truck) outweigh the extra running cost in terms of MPG & road tax but YMMV.
