I m about to get a Nav and i d love to see photos with your cars in off road action...

Post anything that has to do with navara, nature and loaded trunks with bikes snowboards etc

You could put the bike in diagonaly maybe? or..................Get a King cab as the bed is longer

F1Boy, just want to ask why the bike has to be carried in that way? is it because you carry lots of other stuff in the bed and need space?

Hi Lil,

I possibly could carry it diagonally but the design of the mount would have to be more intricate than it is... I did try it diagonally with the forks facing forward but it put a lot of pressure on the mount due to the fork angle.

No - I don't need the extra space it gives, but I will (when it get's warmer) need to cary the GF's bike too - and straight ahead, side by side, is the simplest way to carry two (don't fancy laying my pride and joy down flat in the back either, lol).

The straps will actually hook into the tailgate latch now, rather than going over-and-under as in the pic.

Cheers,

Matt

front wheels off - 4 downhill bikes in the back laid down with a bit of padding in between - works wonders.

Only issue is it does slow down loading / unloading with bolt through axles on some of the bikes.

Ah ok mate, i see your point, if it's a quality bike you don't want it rattling around in the back :thumbleft:

On the subject of bikes, there was a young guy working with us the other day on a site in London, he had a real nice bike. Anyway he asked me if he could lock it in the back of my van until we'd finished for the day, so i asked why, have you nicked it?, no he said, it cost a lot of money and i'm worried about it getting nicked. Fair enough i said, and we put it in the back of the van.
When it was time to go, i asked him if i could have a quick go on it, as i liked the look of it, he politely said no, so i said **** you then in a joking way, and he said it's my pride and joy, and it was a lot of money, how much? i asked ÂŁ5000 he said!

After i recovered from falling over, he told me he had two other bikes of similar value!
