as much as your truck lifted looks nice, but has anyone lowered theirs.
and what it would involve.
not really taken mine off road, or required the use of off road tyres.
so just toying with the idea of a further mod/pimping.
you see the animated pics of pick ups lowered, and it looks dead smart.

as you have guessed, im bored and have more money than sence.

Got to agree with Mr Fish, lowering them and those gay low profile thin tyres on alloys, it's a pick up, beef it up, make it earn it's money, that's my rant keep it mean or join the Elton John fan club. :pirate:

Being a fan of all things lowered, I looked into this when I bought my Nav but in the end didn't like the idea of losing the off-road capability and decided I could better spend my money on air ride for my vdubs :D

Front is easy using shorter coils but the back is much more work involving axle flip kit, C notches and relocation of bumpstops.

Anyway, here's a few links I found.....

http://www.biokustoms.com (Dropped spindles)

http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f58/ ... csb-99778/

If you go to the street truck section of frontier.org, there's loads more info ;)

If you really want a lowered Nav, from what I gathered, the best bet is to use a 2WD D22 which can be lowered using blocks on the back and turning the torsion bars on the front. Simples

mines a d22 so not applicable.
but the pics on the clubfrontier site of the d40's look very nice indeed.
and I don't tow anymore, nor do I go offroad, unless you count the ffffing pot holes around my neck.

anyways, was just a idea. was looking to try something different

get a rallyraid and do a complete restoration project then watch it increase in value year on year :D :D

I been looking at a few trucks to break again mr fish.
missed one the other night, but I need to try a more common colour.
im getting my workshop back together now, plus ive just acquired some cabinets for my tools.
my problem is, I always get itchy fingers when the **** weather arrives.

i would kill for a lock up / work shop same as you i really want to work on something
for me it has to be my truck I'm growing in confidence and want to do more :D

after stripping the last, im pretty confident I can achieve anything on mine now.
gonna strip the interior the weekend and lay some extra sound proofing to the front bulk head area.
also gonna try and tackle the squeeks and rattles within the cabin, drives me mad.
and maybe re wire the amps and sub whilst the carpets up.
I need to connect the wire for the reverse camera aswell, so it kick in when I engage, not sure about this one thou.

best way mate ,just say it as it is ,cant be bothered with slava mate, saying that tho i dont mean to offend anyone

Guys, not mincing words is fair enough to an extent, but we can't force our opinions on each other, i don't like lowered trucks myself, but i wouldn't knock anybody for doing it to their truck.

Each to their own always, maybe i'll clean this thread up a bit later and we can start again

oops sorry mate .ive edited it so not to offend :eek:ops

too late, im offended. not really. :chillpill :chillpill :chillpill
whats the point of asking for opinions if members hold back.
like I said, I was bored. and it was just a thought.
I do take on board what members say.
anyhows, too much mucking about for my liking.
torsion bars can be a right pain sometimes, and tyres rubbing is not what im after.
anyone else have any brain storming ideas for a mod?????
