Well, she's all back together and lives again. :partycheer: The engine is a lot quieter now, it is amazing how I got used to the noise and didn't recognise anything was wrong. I think I really did dodge the bullet.

I would like to publicly thank Richard (manwithsupra) for his excellent guide and support, I have to admit even with the workshop manual I would have struggled. :bowdown1 :bowdown1 :bowdown1

I mustn't forget to thank everyone else on the forum for their support while I've done the job, without the knowledge shared here I may have missed this all together. Thanks everyone :bow

Following on from LT's experience of fitting a thermostatic fan, I have left the engine driven fan and hub off along with the fan cowl. I've ordered a fan kit from Ebay so will receive that as a xmas pressie for fitting in the new year. :fingersx

Really pleased that it's all up and running Keith, and yes manwithsupra's how to is one of the best i've seen and already proving to be a life saver, so big respect for that.

Also IMO, the fan is a win win, the only thing i miss about the viscous, is that roar when starting off from cold :thumbright:
