Yes m8 they are solid turbo pipes both sides nice shiny chrome it stops the turbo lag and gives instant power up to now I'm well pleased trust me it's awesome I'm not trying to boost sales for them but it's well worth the money

Maybe thats what he means by turbo pipes. remember a turbo spools of the exhaust and compress's the air to the intake manifold, so as such it doesn't really have pipes (Unless you count the oil feed/drain)

claymore
would it not be possible to lorry/train freight ur truck down to billcar
would it be cheaper than driving it

My truck does 25ish MPG and i live maybe 300 miles away. So say 25 mpg is 12 gallons each way say 80 quid each way so I might be out but I would rather over estimate my bill than under estimate it.

Duplex mod and remap completed. Initial thoughts are that the remap is great. The torque delivery is so smooth. I was genuinely amazed at how transformed it is . There seems to be more vibration but I’m guessing this is down to the extra couple of kilos it’s spinning in the engine from the duplex mod and not the remap. MPG seems to have improved a little. I’ve only used the on-board comp but I guess it’s given 2 to 3 mpg more on the motorway. But overtaking and pull away is massively improved.

Overall, I’m very pleased since the torque curve seems so linear with no noticeable dips and flat spots. Good job Dave.

Not sure i like the sound of the vibration? I would speak to them about that
:+1 should be smoother I would have thought :dunno

I can't see how it would be smoother. You are spinning a greater mass around a non counter balanced centre at speed. It must introduce more vibration. Billcar Dave took it out with me for long drive. He said it all sounds and feels fine. It's not got any worse over 250 miles now and it is only slightly more vibey then before. I'm already starting to live with it. And I have to admit that the engine has never sounded so nice. The chain with the remap has removed so much noise. It sounds like a different motor.

Vibration isn't good in any vehicle regardless of a remap, timing chain etc, are you sure you're not imagining it? Dave knows his stuff so i would have thought he'd have noticed it?

LT has a valid point after having work done on my truck by billcar bottom end mod, you drive your truck and you are tuned into every noise vibration how it drives and so on, so yes you may well be over analysing ever detail.
relay and enjoy your truck its been done by the pros, and enjoy years of happy motoring

I can't imagine Billcar releasing a motor they've worked on if there was any issue with it :thumbright:

I'm going to try to explain in words which any other 'petrol heads' on here might agree with :dunno

When you've 'upped' the performance of a petrol or diesel engine its characteristics change..... the sound, 'feel' and noises it omits change.
This 'vibration' you mention I suspect is the point at which it's reached its 'sweet spot' of delivering its maximum power and torque :thumbleft:
It's more of a 'resonance' I suspect than a 'vibration' :fingersx
On any race engine I've built this 'vibration/resonance' has coincided with the rolling road graphs obtained at the point on maximum bhp/torque produced by the engine.
Ever since I fitted my 'chip' I've had this but as it only occurs when I'm 'working the engine'......max throttle/full load and the engine is 'digging in' ie at full power  then it's of no concern to me :sunny:
Just my 2p and hard to put into words :|
