Hi all, after continuous trips to the garage and multiple sensor changes my 62 Navara is still playing up!!.......no matter whether its warm or cold everytime i change gear the revs don't drop down quick enough. I've been told it was this sensor and that sensor which have all been changed....i've even been told its a characteristic of a Navara....RUBBISH...it didnt do it before....pulling my hair out now. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hello and welcome! pop into the introduce yourself section and say Hi :)

As for the truck, is it standard? ie no Tuning box/Pedal box? and what do you class as not quick enough?

Hi there, i'll pop in to the hi There section shortly!

with regards to the vehicle it is a bog standard Navara, when i dip my clutch the revs don't seem to drop off enough and on the rev counter as i dip the clutch the revs visibly rise then drop, but by this time i'm in to another gear. it makes the gear changing feel quite rough. If i set off from a junction where i have to put my foot down to get out the over revving seems to get worse. I've been told it could be turbo overboost, of which they have changed a couple of sensor ( one was on a recall from nissan ) but no difference. The garage also said it could be the software, so they updated it ( apparently ) and still no joy

how quick are you changing gear?

there are times when i drive hard that the revs increase slightly when i dip the clutch, being a turbo diesel the throttle doesnt slam shut when you let off anyway so sometimes you can be a bit quick on the clutch i find. i dont find mine drops off very quick either but ive never really though about it too much

Thanks for the replies, i will try and get a video shot of what is happening, i've found myself actually dipping the clutch and waiting a second for the revs to drop before i physically put it into another gear, maybe it is me noticing it too much but once its in your head its hard not to notice, and it never used to do it either thats the thing. Not sure if its related but during acceleration and gear changing it feels "rough" around my feet area as if its vibrating?......being a 62 plate i could only put it down to software or a faulty sensor or something, it can't be a worn part surely!!.....but with the sensors being changed and software reinstalled already i'm thinking it could be a turbo issue?
