Hi Fella's
Took delivery of my new 2014 D40 Teckna 190PS a couple of weeks ago (18th March) and I am quite impressed...so far unlike every Discovery or Range Rover I have had it has not had to go back to the garage in the first two weeks. It does 30mpg so SWIMBO is happy. Must admit Nissan after sales are bit poop!. I ordered the car with a X-line hardtop and a tow bar specifically asking for a 13 pin electrical connection. X-line hardtop damaged by the courier so not fitted and got 7 pin electrics. No problem they said will let you know when the top is coming and we will sort the bar at the same time. However, as of today they can still not give me a delivery date for the hard top other than it is on back order ...a bit pee poor if you ask me. Seems when I had a GTR they could not do enough for me although that was a different dealership. Currently waiting for Nissan UK customer services to get back to me.
I will be looking for a plug and play tuning box rather than a remap as I have had a few issues in the past with DPF's, over-fuelling at idle etc. and do not want to compromise my warranty. Just after a few more horses, a bit better economy, and more torque for dragging a 27' tint tent occasionally. Will be reading the DTE post after I have finished this.

Hi Thanks,
I will be speaking to DTE before I am due back home to get one on order.

SWIMBO drives it more than I do for her business so hopefully a few mpg will keep her happy as she just tootles about. She has a tuned MK1 Golf Cabriolet for fun and I acquire my new toy last month a 1997 993 Carrera 4S.

Heard from Nissan UK today who said there was no clear indication as to when they could get the x-line hardtop in Slate grey. Not a happy bunny!! He said if it was a black one there would be a no problem...I said why not get a black one and re-spray it?...Good idea they said never thought of that! So that is what is happening hopefully be sorted by the time I get back home at the end of the month. They are also going to fit the correct tow bar electrics and give us an owners manual and service book for it...these too were missing when I picked it up.

Yes I will...I have read some of the threads on performance upgrades.
I note there is a lot about the benefits of different DIN switch settings for auto gear boxes
My Tekna connect is a manual decided to go for that because of the towing I will be doing, and my last auto box was up and down all the time going up steep hills with the tin tent on the back which drove me nuts

I will keep my eye open for one before I get back.
The Nav has been back with Nissan for them to fit the Hard top .m they said they could not get a grey one but agreed to get a black one and spray it.
Heard from the dealer yesterday that the x-line top arrived and it was grey despite Nissan they were not available and they did not know when they could get one....tow-bar will be changed from 7pin to 13pin so all is good ...just need to get a tuning box, load divider and chin spoiler bar installed when I get back to the UK. I SWMBO is picking it up today.
