I have a 2014 D40 and when I pulled my new trailer for the first time, I seemed to have problems. I fitted a dedicated wiring loom myself and left out the etra power cable for caravan as such. I fitted a 13 pin system to work a normal light board i.e. indicator brake and lights. When connected the ESP and skid light come, the cruise control diss activates too. The problem I am having is that the engine seems to electronically strangled as it it's being prevented from accelerating and I sometimes struggle to get above 40mph. The trailer is not heavy nor has it got binding brakes. It is really odd. I am not sure if the ESP is doing something it shouldn't. I also have a DTUK mod on but that shouldn't be the issue. Any help would be appreciated :thumbright: .
