If you haven't done the ACL shell mod already nows the time to do it as they may not be available for much longer.

I was speaking to the guy who runs the engine builders who skimmed my cylinder head and ordered my shells this morning, he told me that they are going out of business and have stopped producing new stock.

I guess it could just be a rumor but he seems like the kind of guy who'd know about these things. So if your planning on running D22's for a while to come it might be worth stocking up now before it's to late

speak to dave at billcar if anybody can tell you whats going on he can billcar are the D22 masters when it comes to this motor

I did write this warning a couple of years ago when ACL went into administration, I kept in touch with a chap called Bruce Williams at ACL, who was absolutely priceless offering me his help sourcing the original end shells, it was Bruce who told me the bad news.
Sad day for YD25DDti owners when they do go!

dave at billcar will be stockpiling the acl shells for some time so you can still get them

From memory, 7 years ago I also found a bloke called (Andy) in the North of England who said he would be 'tooling up' to make YD25DDTi engines end shells in lead/copper, I think he ran a company called Engine Products.
But this was a long time ago and I may well be mistaken.
