Hi i have had a fuel pump problem with my d22 fault code is 76 p6 spill valve so i am getting the fuel injector pump replaced with a 2nd hand 1 i this will need to be coded just looking for a rough idea of cost for this or if anyone has any ideas as to other ways this can be done . Cheers for any help

What I was asking was, was it read by a Nissan specific code reader?
If not, chances are you have been mislead, and changing the pump will not rectify the fault.
The D22 is well known for 'forgetting' their immobilser codes, activating the immobiliser which cuts off the fuel until re-coded.
Personally I would leave the pump alone until you have had the codes read by a Nissan reader and are sure of what the problem is.
What engine has your truck got, if it's an early one or had an engine change the micro filter may be blocked?

jono fd3 had exactly the same issue reference his d22 spill valve thread, use the forum search function and have a read :study:
Why not PM him and get so info/experiance from him

Have a read of this link, I would have put the page up but don't know how.
It may be as simple as air in the system, again a very common fault, YD25DDTi engines do NOT tolerate any air in the fuel system.
Any number of places to look, leaking/loose fuel lines, but especially the priming pump on top of the fuel filter.

How did you get on in the end?? I ended up changing my pump for a second hand unit that came off a running engine as I had the same spill valve error code..... After a but of priming and turning over with the replacement pump it started and ran fine for 15 mins, I took it up the road and hit 3000rpm then it cut out again and just refuses to go again!!

No mate, she ran outside the house fine, but when I took it up the road she suddenly stopped and refuses to go again!!! I think my second hand pump has spat the dummy.... But will look into it tomorrow and find out!
