After being away on holiday and not using my Navara D22 2005 plate for two weeks, I have noticed today that when I pull the washer stalk toward me the wipers run but I cannot hear the washer motor and no water is coming through. Question, is there a washer pump fuse on the D22, or is my pump knackered? Are the pumps expensive and how easy/difficult are they to diy fit?

Thanks Carl

Had the same problem for about 2 weeks. No water coming from the jets. I checked all the fuses (there is no specific one for the pump/motor), crawled under the front bumper and pulled the pump off (took 30 seconds), check all the contacts & wiring etc - all appeared fine. Still no joy.

I was just about to search the Internet for replacement when I saw this post on Google. I ran out, pulled the pump off the bottle again and tapped it on the floor a few times and....Ta da!!!

You have just saved me ÂŁ36.00. Nice one!

Grrr did the same, still not working... Think I can see rust inside thorough the plastic body... :cry is it possible to open that pump so I can check it?

I doubt if you would be able to strip and repair a washer pump. You can buy a new pump cheaply enough.

Mine had a cut on the line, so each time I pulled the stalk, i watered a piece of tarmac.
Only after repairing it did i discover the second cut...

Sometimes if washing up liquid is mixed with proper screenwash it can gel and and form flakes that block the pipework also stopping the pump motor.
