Hi, does anyone know if a total 'restore factory settings' is possible on a 2010 Tekna Connect Premium Sat Nav system?

A continuing saga relating to the sat nav system not booting up properly and map destinations not working. Nissan have just phoned to suggest a full restore, but were unable to tell me exactly how to do it and the owner's manual doesn't really help that much.

Hoping someone here might be a little more clued up.

Any advice, much appreciated.

Thanks, in advance

Adam

Take a quick look at the hidden settings menu.

To get there turn audio off... hold down the settings button and turn the volume control counter clockwise until you hear a beep and you will see a menu appear on the display.

I think there was a reset to Factory settings option.

Thanks finneman, did that and found the hidden settings. I've restored the system, which I 'think' have resolved the 8 minute boot up issue, although none of the mapping or navigation functions are working yet. Will go back into it shortly and see if there are any new error codes within the diagnostics and pass them on to Nissan for what it's worth...

When I took the car into Nissan when it happened, they couldn't see any obvious problem so simply recommended a new Controller Assembly at a cost of ÂŁ8,000...

I'm sure it is fixable without such a drastic solution.
