Oil under the engine...

Just had a quick jump over the vehicle to check all is ok... quite a bit of oil under the engine. Near the bottom dot on the dipstick!

Any ideas?

My commute is about an hour and a half on Monday so im hoping she'll be ok for this then i'll stop in at the garrage on the way home.
How long is the warranty? My 07 plate is comming up on 2 years in June/July so if its a big job... I want it sorted!!!

warranty is 3 years/ 60k miles, check the oil filter is tight

Also noticed that the paint work has a decent warranty when rumageing through the book. Often alot of complaints about the paint!

what side is the oil on??

rear left hand side you have the oil filter, rear right hand side you have the turbo which has oil feeds

then obviously you have the oil sump and plug....

If your oil is that low, either dont drive it or get some oil in it if your gunna drive it.

Dont want your engine going bang!

Also has it been serviced recently????????????? :shock:

Oil is comming from the front right side of the engine. 18k service isnt due yet- done about 13k miles at the moment.

Had a better look at the level now its on a level service. Hasn't hit the bottom mark yet but is still low. I think she'll be ok till i get to the garrage.

Had a look in the book for the type of oil. Very confusing!!!
From what i can gather it should be 15W 30. But it says with or without a DPF??? Wtf is a DPF???? Diesel partictle filter maybe???

DPF - Diesel partictle filter. Manuals dont have them Autos do.

5W/30 oil according to Navara owners manual
