Thanks for putting up our link,
yes people a new site this year with a wealth of useful info to get anyone started.

All the popular marques featured
I had a D22...
back on Hilux myself but we have Nissans' too
& take a look at our ebay thread on sales

Please dont take this the wrong way as no offence is meant.

I get 5th wheelers, I get caravans and motorhomes. BUT why would you want to spend like 12,500quid on a tiny little.......eh struggling to think what to call it? For 12,500quid (second hand, the one I seen on the site) I could get 125 nights away in decent hotel at 100 quid a night OR spend it in a little tiny.....eh thing on the back of my truck! Sorry as I say I am not having a go, each to their own but please try and help me explain the point or benefit of this contraption over say a tent, caravan or even survival blanket?????

Fixed bed, proper heating system and somewhere to dry things properly,
able to travel a quickly as I like where I like, a fiver is a go somewhere (accessible)>park drop it off but essentially a road going static caravan,

for ourselves we keep horses and found it almost impossible to book less than a week in a cottage or similar with the dogs as well, which obviously rules out hotels
this I back under, attach & go.

Takes up less space outside home than a caravan (ours stands in a corner of the driveway half up a pathway that a caravan wouldn't possibly) cheaper on crossings, no MOT/tax

no offence taken its a recurring question from die-hard vanners usually, but probably the best accessory around for a crewcab

and on sale often now second hand as either fixed or pop-up at around 5K

cash permitting i would have one tomorrow :D
the option to get up and go ( ANYWHERE ) without restriction yes please :thumbright:

Still very much a minority camper here in the UK,
never the less there's a constant stream available on sale between ebay, gumtree, preloved & the like.
last month was a record for them,
nobody's sure just how many there are here they've been around since the 70's but most of them are now marketed for the crew cab rather than the earlier single cab variants.

only one Co (Apollo) actually make them in lancashire UK, the others are all imports these days.

Northstar are marketed here in Manby Lincolnshire http://www.niche-marketing.net but good examples of Adventure/Tischer/Karroser come up for sale and I collect them all here;

I always thought they look cosy inside, although seem a little top heavy?

Saw a few when i was in the states years ago, even one on a 50's Chevy stepside truck

They seem well equipped

Hi,
Again a common impression, but in fact the weight is nearly all low down with everything above 6' off the ground being either roof, or just sides.
Mine empty is around 700K
Like most of the European models,

The American's though a good deal larger and heavier, with facilities featuring full hob and oven, slide out sides, many with a sort of stage or porch dropping down like a tailgate on the back.

But then if your loading it on something we might use to recover an Argos truck you can get away with it.

I've been an owner for five years and seen all of the UK links without looking at this particular one
one of the many reasons we started this forum was because unlike the adventure camper club we've firmly embraced the net and moved on beyond the quarterly newsletter that anyone actually reading this link will quickly find,
appreciate the help which is why I joined here about four years ago,
but as you say....
"perhaps click on and read the content of a link" before deciding its worth,

'newsletter' (So that arrives in the post every three months)

but not a website
