I read a thread about headlight bulbs on here, and went and purchased some Osram night breaker bulbs, and gave them to our fitter to put in for me.
He came back about 10 mins later having fitted them, and told me they wouldn't make any difference because they were identical to the ones he took out! Doh! :faint

LOl... so you already had Osrams?

Thats not our faults though!

Why didn't you check first to see what was fitted?

Dont think it will apply to the new vehicles but when i worked with Nissan at AFG, we where taught it was actually the reflectors on the lights that inhibited the beam/light, not the bulb. Mines a 2000 model & it dont make any difference putting in Osram night breakers. :dunno

I used to drive along country roads with my D21 & Bluebird with 'high beam' on, no one ever flashed me, it looked normal, guess its down to Jap **** the same as the mouse fart bib bibs.

I haven't had the car all that long, and to be fair I have been impressed by the headlights. However I was seduced by the thought that they could be better!
Anyway, is there anything else I can be suckered into buying?

Yer, different reflectors, Jap lights are ****, period. Its not the bulbs, its the back reflectors.

OE fitted bulbs by manufacturer are usually Osram Nightbreakers anyway, I know my 2010 Navara has them and most new vehicles (VW,BMW) I've had have had them too.
Americans get Philips
