Out at work and thought i'd kill some time by making some tie down cleats (need a couple extra for tie'n down the bikes), going to put a "how to" thread of my design up but i don't have access to the truck for another month and need the dimensions of the inner channel? Does anyone know These sizes?
I need these size "X" EXCUSE THE DRAWING :bow :awesomework :confetti

You may want to look in the "How to" section for a thread entitled "Make your own channel clamps".

Just broke out the calipers on the rail I've got out of the tub at the moment. The horizontal space is 11.8mm at the narrowest point, 13.3 at the narrowest. The vertical space is 35.5mm at the widest point, 21.9mm at the narrowest.

I used two lengths of unistrut about a year ago to make cross bars to go across the back, 1 which is to support the back wheel of the bikes when they're on the on mounts I made.

If you want a cheap and easy option, the C-Channels are the same dimensions and regular unistrut so the zebedees can be used without any issue. How about a couple of M10 eye bolts to zebedees?

Cheers guys, I've just mocked up some flat bar, drilled and tapped it then used some Eye bolts into that. Was going to go fancy and use two plates and some sort of sandwiching mechanism to lock them in place but i can't find the right stuff in the workshop, been reduced to hunting for scrap metal! :?

Will just screw the eye bolt in a bit when in the Channel to hold it in place. Simple yet effective, only needed on the floor for mounting the bikes. :happy0071
