Hi all ! I'm just searching around and in section D22tech library I found on the top is service list. And it says that with engine oil filter change I will need 4 L of oil.... My manual is telling me 6.7 L tho? I'm sure that WOZ know what he's talking about so I think I'm missing something somewhere... And always when I changed oil before and put there 6.7 L I ended up with overfill... Looking at that manual just now... Please someone tell me what's going on... Thank you
Martin

Yeah just checked all the other numbers and it's all different. That little overfilling I've noticed in the past must be coz there's always some oil left in engine even was drained properly. Thanks for your reply !

4.75 ltrs to be precise 10-40 semi :thumbright:
no phoenix its
With oil filter: TD25Ti 6.7 Liters
Without oil filter: TD25Ti 6.0 Liters

i prefer fully synthetic every 6,000 miles change to be sure rather than semi

every service i have done has been around 4.6 - 4.8 litres.
and im talking maybe 15 services over the last 9 years.
take the advice given by people who are trying to help.

he is talking about mk1 ... read his signature :cheers2:
and this so confusing to Halagen since you are not actually reading his signature or the manual to realise the TD engine takes more oil than the YD25 you are talking about

and 3+ liters differance from a d40 which engines are practically 85% the same technology if not more
4x2 get more oil than 4x4 so i guess they probably made the oil pan on 4x4's smaller to fit the front differential??i cant explain the 1,3 liters differance in capacity otherwise. if so it was a stupid idea judging from the blown ups along the way

Yeah I've dropped there exactly 6 L yesterday and it is now precisely on max mark. Before if added 6.7 L got a little overfilling so there must be 0.7 L hanging in somewhere. In my manual is not a word about YD engine my guess is coz in that times not existing :))) thanx a lot !

this is what i was trying to say, with regards to the engine oil spec in the manual. pinch of salt springs to mind.
1/2 litre difference in my engine to what it says in the book
i was just saying take the advice of people who have done oil changes with there eyes shut.
glad you got there in the end.
