Hello, can anyone help. Our Navara has a leak in the passenger footwell. I read an older post which mentioned that the air con pipe may be too short and it described how to extend the pipe. There were diagrams from Andy also but I couldn't ask any more questions as the forum appeared to be closed. How do we access the pipe in order to extend it? Should it be visible if we remove the glove compartment? Or should we try to reach it from under the bonnet?
Sorry, we are amateurs but the local garage are going to charge a fortune for this and they have already looked and said it was a two man job. Please help if you can. Thank you

I'm assuming you are referring to this post? viewtopic.php?f=45&t=22031

The pipe/grommet is accessed via the engine compartment, it is located right above the chassis rail. Not the easiest place to access due to the exhaust and catalytic converter being there as well.

Good luck

Thank you for that but I don't know what the chassis rail looks like, I did say that I was an amateur! I really want to get this fixed to impress my partner, he is growing tired of me moaning about the passenger carpet being soaked. Is there a Haynes manual ( I couldn't find one) or something similar that I can look at for Navaras? I have looked online for labelled diagrams of the engine compartment but the ones I've found don't show enough detail for me to find the pipe I'm after. Sorry to be an airhead but I am good at many other things, vehicles not being one of them. Please help if you can. Thank you, Joanne

Here's a Haynes manual; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Navara ... 5d559f90a8

To be honest if you are both complete amateurs at all things automotive you really need a knowledgeable friend and a good reliable honest garage that is not going to rip you off. At present you both sound very vulnerable to being completely duped.

Pop in to the 'Introduce yourself' section to tell us more about your truck and yourselves, (include your location) you'll get a warm welcome and there may be someone nearby that could give you some pointers of where to start.
