Chances are it is a Euro5,
Have a look at the angle of the pipe coming off the turbo.

Also your V5c registration document will confirm. :thumbright:
Thanks for the photos lookskyward1 Based on those it looks like mine is a Euro5. But you mentioned in your post that the V5 will confirm. What do you look for on there to confirm the Euro rating? There isn't anything obvious that I can see.
Also, as mine appears to be Euro5, with around 39k on the clock, what sort of concerns should I have about the dreaded timing chain. Will my engine now have a proper good quality duplex chain or should I factor in a visit to Bilcar some time in the future?

If your truck is a 2011, it will have a sunroof and passenger electric seat, this will be a Euro 4
The euro 5 engines were introduced in 2012 were nissan in there infinite wisdom also removed the sunroof and passenger electric seat.
As I understand it the pre 2012 190 Navara's is a hybrid of the old 170bhp engine and the new 190bhp (euro 5) you will find a few similar components used in both 190 Nav's.

Unfortunately Nissan are still fitting a single row lower timing chain to the YD25 engine on the Navara. However to be honest apart from an enhanced servicing schedule (oil and filter change every 6k) and having an EGR blank fitted there is not a lot to do at the moment regarding the timing chain. Once the truck gets to 60k it will be time to have the lower chain inspected every service. Obviously if you want absolute peace of mind, the Billcar route is the one to take and if you include those wee extras like a remap and turbo intercooler hard pipes at the same time you will not be disappointed.
OK, really confused now Shademaster. Based on the photos mine's definitely a euro 5. But it is 2011, it does have a sunroof and it does have electric passenger seat - so by what you say it should be a euro 4. Nissan dealer confirmed using vehicle VIN that service interval on mine is 18,000 or 2 years. Does that apply to euro 4 or 5. Confused.com!!

18000 mile service interval is Euro 4, 12000 mile service interval is Euro 5.

Obviously the 190 was built from the off as being Euro5 compliant but was not billed as such until the trim change. Obviously at that time Nissan decided the 18k service interval was too long so hedged their bets (increasing their and their dealer profits) by reducing the servicing intervals to 12k.dsajones said:
It might be possible the early 190s did not have a catalytic converter fitted on the manual gearbox version. :dunno If yours is a manual does it have one fitted?

I can't comment on the Pathfinder service interval, My 2007 Navara Aventura had an 18000 mile service interval and my 2012 Navara Tekna has 12000 mile service interval.nomisco said:
