Right guys, just had a quote through from local place to remap my nav, I'm contemplating doing this and removing my DTUK box but I don't know whether or not it's worth the change from box to hard map!

I can have it dyno'd, mapped and then dyno'd again for £240

Says gains of around 30 ponies and and 55 torques lol

Opinions please :)

That's what I thought I mean the gains are similar to the dtuk box, I've asked him if he can tune it, as the remap is of a file database!

Wanna see about a new exhaust too, fancy a turbo back system with Decat. Gonna find somewhere local if not it's off to longlife Swansea!

See he says it's not worth a live remap which has started to put me off, surely he would be willing to do a live one and charge me the bit extra!

If i was going to billcar I'd be happy with there off the shelf remap as I know it's tried and tested

if you want as much info as you can, give my mate at avon tuning a ring.
hes done a few d40's now and will tell you how it is. not sure if hes put any on the dyno thou
might even be able to give you a better deal.

But is it worth it over the DTUK box? As gains are similar? :) I will probably do it but want some one to sell it to me haha I already have the box fitted and she goes well!

That's what I thought he says the ones he has done dyno'd to 204hp! I may just stick to the box for now it's easy to remove if any problems. I might see what he chargers for a few pulls on the dyno tho :)

For that money it's worth a go and if your happy with it as lookskyward said you can sell the dtuk box.
They should copy your ecu info hold on to it so if your not happy with it they can reload it, that's what the man I used did. .
