Has anyone thats used a scan tool on their ODB II connector been able to communicate with the Auto Gearbox's TCU.

Im trying to diagnose a fault with it but I cant seem to see it as a available ECU to connect to.

I only see to get the Engine Control Unit. The Nissan Service manual says you should be able to select either the ECU or TCU when you turn the Scan tool on..

Cheers,

I've never tried or seen the option using the standard Bluetooth dongles and torque, and from my time on this forum it's never been mentioned. I would assume the quote above is for Nissan's own consult system.

I seem to remember my local garage using their snap-on interrogator once back when I had injector issues, and there was an option when plugging in as to what to interrogate. As you say, some of the more professional tools may allow this and not necessarily just the nissans own.

oh, I forgot to mention, could you please update your location in you profile, and maybe put up an introduction post and let us a pic of you pride and joy. it helps immensely with the friendliness of the community :)

welcome to navara.net.

I have access to a laptop based diagnosis setup
and it has a FULL system scan option
this includes the auto box and bcm.
so a smaller garage might be able to help.
