hi to all, im new to the forum, i have bought a used nissan navara d22 yd25 on a 04 plate which run nice and would start first turn of the key every time. then i read on here about the big end problems so i contacted billcar(great bunch of people) and ordered the full kit, big-ends, bolts, sump mod, when i took out the engine to do all the mods i soon found the crank had been reground from which i soon got a replacement that hadn't been reground after reading the problems with reground cranks,, anyway i put the engine back together and back into the truck and replaced oil, fuel air filter at the same time, when i started it it took ages to start obvious to me now that air was in the system, anyway i've tried to bleed as much of the air out as possible, the truck take 4 or 5 turns of the engine to start and it lacks power on take off. it will go up the a38 60-70 mph no problem, i have replaced the crank sensor as it was damaged when doing the engine mods,
sorry for a long first post but help grately appricated

Filters would be a good start if not already changed, also 'if' you have a micro filter, it'll be a lil white plastic one. I'd def chane all other filters though. Have you blanked off your EGR?

hi thanks for the info, filters have been replaced admittantly not genuine Nissan parts, i haven't checked to see if i have the micro filter. could this be the cause? it was fine before the mods..
thanks for the reply

OK thanks for the input, is there a possible cause? is it something i might have done wrong or not done? after reading an endless amount of posts on here its looking more like air getting into the fuel system, would this be a good assumption and worth a more investigation?

any help will be much appreciated.

evening all, haven't posted for a while been sat in the back ground learning about the the d22. im still having problems with the nav, it struggles pulling any weight. over the course of the last 12 months ive replaced, intercooler, boost sensor, injectors, stretched upper timing chain. bye passed filter primmer has i found this was allowing air into fuel system (waiting for replacement). engine out and checked timing. ive made a lead obd 2 to Nissan consult adapter and used ecu talk to read any fault codes that may be present but no fault found. but on the gauge page of ecu talk my boost pressure reads 14.5 psi with ignition on and engine not running is this normal? help would be appreciated as i still cant find what's wrong

Thanks for reply, turbo has been removed checked ect, when I changed the injectors and "cracked them" to assist in bleeding and noticed 1,2,3 had low pressure high volume, and no 4 had high pressure with a good spray if that makes sense..

I've scaned with a lead I made obd to consult and using a consult scan tool of ebay and download free to use ECU talk and no code. Thank you for your reply. Anybody in or near Plymouth who would have a look who know these trucks
