hi all anyone local to mancheser that noes alot about the engine on a nav and everything else , i baught my nav 3week ago im getin a nocking sound and all other garages are telling me different i dont no who to trust i just need to make a list of what is up with it so i can take it and say to the salesman fix it need help please :(

depends what type of "knocking" noise it is. could be anything from injector rattle, diesel pump or bottom end......

go to d40 techincal on here and look at the post "How to reset ECU and fuel pump" this reset can get rid of injector rattle and noise from the fuel pump.

wel i had the injectors out at a desil expert he said one was fuckd other 3 ok so i gt a new one in , bt the sounds still there
Well try the reset i listed above, it puts the ECU, fuel pump injectors etc... into a lean mode and recalibrates them....

it has made people injector rattle etc.. stop and made there engines smoother etc....

Do it when the engine is warm and then take it for a nice lesurly drive.

Its free to do and takes up 10 mins of your time.

LIKE I SAID IT PUTS THE ECU AND FUEL PUMP ETC INTO A LEARN MODE SO IT RECALIBRATES TO THE WAY YOU DRIVE.

WHEN U GET TO THE POINT WHERE THE ECU LIGHT FLASHES, IGNORE THE WAY THE ECU LIGHT FLASHES. JUST LET IT FLASH FOR SAY 30 SECONDS AND THEN PRESS AND HOLD THE ACCELERATOR PEDEL FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS... ITS AT THIS POINT IT GOES INTO LEARN MODE!!!!

THEN JUST START THE ENGINE AND GO FOR A DRIVE, IT ONLY TAKES A FEW MILES. YOU DONT NEED TO DO ANYTHING ELSE.
