Does it unlock on central locking inside the truck? I don't know if it would be the same issue but I was having electrical problems earlier, including key fob not working.
It was locking on the button inside the truck but looked in the inside fuse box (was wet) but wiggled the 2 wiring harnesses next to the fuse panel (including wobbling individual wires) and now my key locks and works. This was on a 55 plate mind you. Don't know if it's even the same sort of problem but worth a try?

Hi, just something I've noticed with my D40. It sometimes wont lock with the key fob. The problem was the steering lock wasn't engaged on taking the key out. I don't know about the rest of your trucks but I find I can remove my key when the vehicle is running so I assume worn ignition barrel . It just means sometimes I don't turn the barrel fully anti-clockwise on getting out as the key readily comes out anyway. The keyfob won't lock the doors and I have to return to engage the steering lock .

Well mine was locking inside the truck but key wasn't working and indicators weren't flashing. Did what I put in previous post and now the key works and indicators flash. I'm not sure if those wires I wobbled have anything to do with the receiver in the truck, perhaps could just be luck.

Hi
Just to let you know I had the same problem with mine last year, after opening the key it turned out to be the small micro switch (under the lock button) in the key had come lose, I soldered it back on and Been fine since!
