I was travelling down the outside lane of the A1 today doing a steady 70mph minding my own business and having a bit jive to some tunes in the Mitsi today :partycheer: . A shake started to develop through the steering wheel and this became more violent in a very very short space of time. The shake then stopped but the wheel sharply pulled to the left so i negotiated my way over to the hard shoulder as best i could :( . I ran round the pickup (with soilded underwear) and my wheel was hanging off and as a result it sheared off two studs :pale: .

I know this is the wrong place to be posting this topic but i wanted as many Nav owners to read it as possible beacuse the incident can be easily avoided. I took a lacklustre view on wheel nuts and i never checked them and i dare say others may be able to relate with me but it takes no time to run round your motor and check your wheel nuts. Its certainly opened my eyes to the importance of checking there condition  . I hope some good comes of my rant, be safe :cheers2:

Cheers Joe, its a 2002 L200 and those aisin's are nowt but a pain in the **** because you need a hammer and chisel to turn them at the best of times and if you bury it upto the hubs before locking them up you may as well prepare yourself for a swim
