NP300 Tekna delivery delay?

Just wondering whether anyone else is experiencing this issue?
I placed an order for an NP300 Tekna with sunroof, metallic paint and diff lock back in November last year. I wanted to wait until March 1st before I had it registered and assumed it would be with the dealer in good time.
I have subsequently been told that delivery of ALL fully spec'd NP300's that are currently on order has been delayed for some reason.
Makes me suspicious and worried that there's a manufacturing issue with either the sunroof or diff lock that Nissan are trying to sort before they can be shipped.

Mine ordered Jan at the dealers now not far from you Tekna Twillight with DL no sunroof though. It got there Thursday day that was quoted when ordered. You sure your dealer not sold it to somebody else thinking they could restock quickly its been known to happen.
I guess your farming as well ,heard we may have issues with the emergency braking I shall be checking that out straight away.

You're not alone. I have a metallic tekna on order, with sunroof, since first week December. Delayed until late March... :-|

I too had the suspicion that they may have sold mine to someone else, although I was assured that would not be the case... It does seem strange that some dealers can get loads of the bloody things and others, none.

I put a deposit down on mine in November last year as soon as the order books opened. I didn't want it registered until March 1st and was assured it would be here in good time.
I talked to my dealer tonight and have been assured the it and some other fully spec'd Tekna's will be delivered to them mid March.
It appears that it's the Tekna models with ALL available extras that are the vehicles that have been held up. Perhaps they only manufacture them on a FRIDAY!! :frown2:

I think thats a great colour. I've only ever seen one inside the dealership and not in natural light. Looks great there on the lift. I think it will look quite different on the road in differemt lights. Alot of the photos on the net are of trucks elsewhere in the world and i think they have a differrent name for the colour than Savannah Yellow but i think its pretty close.

you must be joking mate i wouldnt use them if another dealer was 1000 miles away id drive there, there rip offs and ive no time for them! mine comeing from norwich ÂŁ4500 less than i was quoted from halesworth, and its not just there prices i dont like about them either, any way rant over dont get me started on them, i could tell you stores that would make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up about them, how they still get any body to buy from them il never know, as for the tyres im going to order either a set of genral grabber either at2 the old style patten as i think they look alot better than the new style they make, 14mm tread on the old at2s and had them before and very good tyres for the money,

I have to admit that I'm very surprised about all the negative comments concerning the Nissan main dealer where I have placed my NP300 order.
I've been a loyal customer with them since 2006, when I purchased my first D40 from them.
I've always been very impressed with the way I'm treated in both their sales department and workshop. I'll contact them today and dig a bit deeper to find out why a vehicle that I ordered back in November last year still isn't here.

I'm still waiting too mate. It's one of those things. I can't sensibly cancel, seeing as I was told mid-March delivery when I ordered, and it's still not mid-March. I also got a superb price for an early December order, that I hadn't seen anyone get close to online or in forums until recently..

I'm having a tekna auto in bilious yellow, with a sunroof. At least it'll be a '16 plate. Lol.

Quick thought for all you new NP300 owners...since the D40 chassis rusting only became a well-known problem after the design of the NP300 was signed off it may be possible that Nissan have once again skimped on the chassis rust-proofing for the NP300. I hope you're all getting your chassis waxoyled straight away :)

Well that escalated quickly.

I know what colour I ordered, and was indeed making a joke. :eekout

I'm glad it seems to have worked out for you jake. I know I'll love mine when it comes, my customers might raise an eyebrow when I turn up in a big gold bling truck.

As I said, I'm not bothered really, it'll be here when it's here. It's nice to see that you've seen all the evidence, puts my mind at rest.

I hate to say it but I am not really looking forward to mine ,I hope the reality changes that however withit coming in about 1500 less than a pre reg D40 I will have to go with it then it should not cost much down the line with 5yrs warranty and servicing all in.
I think I am going to miss the silly little things however my biggest concern is with towing 3.5 ton moving loads . If it passes that test I shall be happy. We have 3 navs at present and had to bite the bullet with this one or the next. I have been told there are things they can do with the rear end springs if its not stable enough.
