DTE box combined with Prochips remap

Do you notice a remarkable difference between te maps? All boxes have 4 maps as that is what the hardware provides. Question is whether the software is different for each of the 4 well strictly speaking 5 settings but auto selects map 1 do I won't count that.

I'm still on map 1, try on every power setting on 1 map. I noticed that map 1 20% has strong torsion on low rpm say from 1800-3000. 30% or highest power setting seemed to have less strong torsion on low rpm but better torsion across the rpm.

Ok got my DTE box on now...I can see what all the fuss is about :lol:

Seriously impressed that a bolt on can make that sort of difference and is it me or does it drive better too??

I want to get this dialed in properly before fitting the racechip pro again. Im reading several settings, currently im on map1 0%, is there any that on a whole people agree works best. I know thats a little tricky as no two are the same so to speak.

Im gonna try + 20% & 30% but i dont know if map 2,3,4 is just better to start with --- its alot of variations to try! :study:

mine works best with maps 1 10% but smokes quite a lot on hard acceleration, currently on 0% with much less smoke.

I am still runing on Map 4 0% But have not had much chance to play around with it. Silly season soon over and i can get a life and muck around with the Truck again.

I'm on Map 1 0% on an Euro3 Manual. Silly season is in full flow and I'm not having chance to look at anything. Not even in the same country as my Nav at the moment.

Just tried mine on map 1 with all settings and found at max (i think +30%) it was def quickest, a real shove all the way to top but was smoking, Ive taken it down one and found it similar but with less smoke...

On a seperate note I tried the racechip as well. It would go like a train for about 10 seconds then go into limp - even on the lowest setting. So ive just emailed them asking for a refund and will be sending the item back.

Unless you do this 'boost mod thingy' I cant see it worth it tbh and since being on this forum and finding out about the DTE Ive realised its a far seperior product

would you mind explaining more about goin into limp mode with racechip?since I tried it before and found no prob but I didn't have the chance to play with the dials :bounce:

Well I fit the racechip, I floor it and I loose all power and can just about drive it. When I turn it off and back on its cleared 'til I floor it again!!

Was a def improvement when DTE wasn't fitted but not reliable, not as much as the DTE improved power though and when I fitted both even with the racechip set on min it would still through the engine into its safety mood...wish it wasnt so sensitive cos it really felt good 'til that happened

The racechip was it 218 bhp or the 224 bhp pro chip.????

I had the 224 bhp and went straight to limp mode :?

DTE PDI plus DTE CRD system, it definately pulled even stronger..

I may have a word with dejong to see if he fancies trying it

Mine quoted 221bhp, dont feel with my 'butt dyno' that it was making that although it did give a good midrange shove. Just too unreliable with DTE box

Yeah cheers for that will put a PM over. Shame cos it def felt noticeable but I cant deal with it sometimes being OK and other times not

So, your 215HP navara came from 2 boxes?
What is DTE CRD system?is it similar to other chip that connect to commonrail sensor?
