My 04 d22 runs a treat seems better at 30 - 40 plus miles an hour - very smooth, but in first gear seems a bit gravely, hard to explain what i mean but when i travel 40 miles to work and turn the engine off at journeys end the last sound u hear as the engine winds down is a clunk and this is accompanied by a shudder from the engine, the problem seems to have got worse over the last month, reading all about blown engines on here as left me somewhat paranoid but im definitly not imaginin this, goin to have the bottom end bearings done in about 3000 miles time but if the engine needs to come apart because of this clunking may do it sooner, greatful for any thoughts, cheers :?
