reversing light wires

On my 09 plate can anyone confirm the red with black tracer going into reverse bulb is the live. Might be silly question but I have known the black with a tracer been the live. Tryed putting meter in the connection block, seems I cant poke meter in far enough to touch wire.
Thanks for any help

Forget the colours hubby just said because ive got after market light on back colours will be different soorry. Will see what the colour is before connector block behind light

Connector block coming from front looks like a pale blue. Can anyone confirm thats the reversing light live wire.

Tell hubby to use a pin or a needle to puncture the wires insulation to use the multi-meter.

Thanks ile do that, hubby not allowed by mine lol.
Yes it was the red with tracer. Now have led reversing lights. Now got to wait till tonight, to see if I can reverse down the forestry track. As the standard 1 might aswell not be on.

+1 I generally use a stanley knife to cut length ways 2/3mm into the wire and stick the multimeter probe in the hole then tape up afterwards but never thought of sticking a pin in! would save on the tape!
