12 Seconds?? That's Amg E63, M5 & Rs6 territory!!! How did he manage that especially in a heavy unaerodynamical 4x4? :jawdrop
Well theoretically its not a 4x4 having a TH400 delivering all the power to the rear, transfer boxes are a thing of the past for this. Despite having the aerodynamics of a castle the PWR over comes this:

His best pass I think was 12.6 and mine in the supra was 12.8, so yeah he was doing good.

Here's how its done though:

Many years back at run what ur brung, me and a mate raced 4.5ton armoured scout cars down the strip... ******* slow but funny as.. 29second 1/4..... ill find the photos after my time away...

That's not something which happens over night. Over here In Belgium it's the same thing with mot. Once, a friend of mine got back from mot. When he whas parking his car at home one of the tyrod ends of the steering just snapped off. Took a look at the other side and it whas in a bad state as well. Dunno how they could have missed that.

Just spent a whole 8 gruelling hours in the lovely baking Yorkshire sun bring my trucks paintwork back up to showroom condition. I'd like to think I've achieved a mirror finish...

Process involved:

Wash and rinse
3 full machine buff with G3
1 full machine buff with G10
1 full machine buff with White T-cut
Wash and Rinse
1 hand buff with Wax Top
1 hand buff with High Gloss Sealant protector

Applied rubber care to all door rubbers

All this was made a bit more enjoyable with the company of some Kopparberg Ciders

Just sat down......shattered!!!

Well as the weather was nice and the missus was away I thought I would embark on replacing the front bumper and end caps. I honestly didn't think for a minute it was going to take over 7 hours:surprise:

Lots of bolts shearing, a five year old complaining about wanting dinner and it being too hot (despite wearing her Christmas wooly hat), and most of all a really poorly fitting aftermarket bumper from ebay. I guess I should have known that for ÂŁ75 delivered it wasn't going to go well. Its on now but the gaps are awful, I ran out of time but next weekend will loosen it all off and try to get it a bit better. I also cant decide whether I want to put the nudge bar back on, what do you lot think, with or without? Maybe get it powder coated and put it back?

WOW...looks like you had a lot of fun ......(not) well at least your little un enjoyed being out in the sun lol

Good job you had all the equipment and tools to make the necessary adaptations...

Personally, I like it better now without the nudge bar mate....

Top job though there mate!!! :salute:

I did my maintenance today and it was worse than expected. First I went for a drive to make the oil hot so it would flow better out, but the nut was too tight so I needed to get a tool I didn't have. Next was the oil filter, which was too tight and I decided that since the tools didn't work, I had to cut it open (which worked). After that the pollen filter went out and they were very VERY dirty! And was a pain in the *** to get back inside
But some good news came after all, the air filter was easy :happy0071

Car runs great and i'm happy i saved myself 400€ (dealer asks 550€, I paid 144€ for the parts).

Here are some pics:

Wasn't today, but fitted new front brake pads.
First side went fine.
Second one, had the car jacked up, wheel off, pads out and struggling to retract pistons, and got a phone call saying I was urgently needed 10 miles away as a family member had been injured.....
Bodged the hell out of it and got the truck back together in less than 5 minutes!

Back ones to do next tomorrow, so I got prepared and bought a piston tool, doing the discs as well! (Milners ftw)

Edit: family were fine in the end and I needn't have rushed :(

Bought a mini (6cm) 'sport' arial for the truck so I could get it under the car port, then found it makes no difference what so ever in DAB, FM mode with or without an arial:bounce:
Anyway, fitted the 'sport' arial and now park in the car port!! :clappy:
