While waiting for johnny foreigner this morning to bring my truck to me a LR TDV6 was in front, now concidering it was a cold start this thing on tickover had almost a V8 rumble to it :afro: That with twin stainless system chipped and mapped would sound stonking good, never heard an oil burner sound so sweet.
We had a customer when i worked at land rover that had a tdv6 that was chipped with custom twin 2.5" stainless straight-thrus from the turbo's back running on 20" rims with grabber UHP tyres, it went through quarries, up and down lanes, anywhere! Was a potent bit of kit and rumbled like nothing else!! Sounded just perfect! The 4.4 V8 DY3's sounded nice, but only a few kicking about. TDV8 is the way forward, although could do with going 4 litre soon 8)

Tbh, if the greenies and tree huggers get their way, there won't be any motor vehicles, let alone V8's [/quote:1jjbs753]

The big "chelsea tractors" will be the 1st to go without a doubt LT :thumbright:

As long as the tree didn't enter you while you were hugging it mate you should be safe

To be honest I would love a hybrid version of the Navara. But with the biggest electro motor and a stonking big diesel v8 ;-) The torque of an electro motor is unbelievable and sneeking up behind the greenies on a lane would be priceless...

Cant see it happening though JP it doesnt make sense a diesel engine is already very efficient at the part of the powerband where an electric motor would be worth using.Direct drive through a diff is far more efficient than transfering energy on board via a generator

Well in that case how about an electro motor with a nice V8 petrol, or the V6 out of the 370

This green issue is BS! As usual its so easy to put the pressure and blam on Joe public, how many times to you buy something that needs Houdini to get into? Even my backy (rolling tobacco) comes in a box that has cellophane over it, inside the box the backy has more cellopphane over a wrapper, not to mention kids toys etc. You look around after xmas at all the rubbish piled up outside homes, get the big boys to clean their act up instead of worrying about a bit of burnt fuel....fookin *****.
